Japanese Calligraphy Class Statement 2025

As an instructor, it has been wondrous pleasure to be with these talented artists who have been coming to Japanese Calligraphy Class.  The class started more than 10 years ago in 3 seasons, February, May and October.  Some of them have come back to the class each time and some of them have just started.  Learning something completely different from Western culture requires bravery and dedication.  For example, they have to know some aspects of Japanese language, culture and history in order to create their art as Japanese Calligraphy.  But, without fail, I am always amazed by their enthusiasm, diligence and flexibility.  Some of them wondered if his/her work was enough to exhibit.  I think we all are a student of life, and exhibiting art is showing one's humble self at the moment.  Nothing is permanent or perfect and everything is constantly changing.
